Ich rocke seit ein paar Tagen ein komplett ortsungebundenes “Mobile Office”. Arbeiten ist somit von überall aus möglich, wo das Handy Empfang hat!

Mein Set-Up:
MacBook Pro + iPhone, via Tethering im (t-mobile) Netz.

Dank UMTS ist das Ganze meistens ausreichend schnell für fast alle Arbeiten. Sogar VPN-Verbindungen etc. sind kein Problem!

Heute bin ich aber auf folgendes Problem gestoßen: Webseiten kamen im Browser komprimiert an. Dabei werden – vereinfacht gesagt – referenzierte Dateien (wie Stylesheets) in das HTML-Dokument eingebettet und als eine Datei an den Browser geliefert.

Normales Debugging (oder Arbeiten mit CSSEdit) war so kaum/gar nicht mehr möglich. Skripte  funktionierten teilweise nicht mehr.

Gott sei Dank gibt es eine Möglichkeit das Ganze einfach abzuschalten – über folgende URL: http://www.speed.t-mobile.de/
